Glimpses Community Guidelines

Welcome to Glimpses! We have established these Community Guidelines to ensure that Glimpses remains a safe, respectful, and positive platform for everyone. By using Glimpses, you agree to abide by these guidelines, which are designed to foster a friendly community environment while upholding the law and protecting user rights. Our goal is to balance free expression with respect and safety for all users. Please take a moment to read and understand the rules below. Note: We may update these guidelines from time to time; the latest version (indicated by the Last Updated date above) will apply to your use of Glimpses.

Respectful Behavior

  • Harassment and Bullying: Treat everyone with respect. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, or personal attacks. This includes name-calling, threats, intimidation, or encouraging others to target someone with abuse. Everyone should feel safe from abuse on Glimpses.
  • Hate Speech and Discrimination: Content that includes hate speech, slurs, or promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, or disability is strictly prohibited. We are an inclusive community, and hateful or discriminatory content has no place here.

Violence and Criminal Behavior

  • No Threats or Incitement: You may not threaten violence or encourage others to engage in violence. Content that incites harm against people or property, or glorifies violent acts, is forbidden.
  • Dangerous Organizations: Do not use Glimpses to support or praise terrorist, extremist, or criminal organizations or individuals indulging in these activities. Any content that advocates for or supports extremist ideologies, terrorism, or organized violence will be removed.
  • Illegal Activities and Regulated Goods: Do not engage in or promote unlawful activities on our platform. Content facilitating the sale or use of illegal drugs, firearms, or other regulated goods is not allowed. Likewise, instructions for committing crimes, acts of hacking, or any other illicit behavior are prohibited. We comply with local laws – content that violates the law will be removed.

Users and accounts indulging in the above activities may be subject to temporary or permanent suspension of their accounts, without prior notice.

Graphic and Sensitive Content

  • Graphic Violence and Gore: Avoid posting graphic or gruesome content. Content that is excessively violent, bloody, or intended to shock or disgust is not allowed. If you believe certain graphic material is important (for example, for news or awareness), it must be shared responsibly with appropriate warnings. Content solely posted to be sensational or exploitative will be removed.
  • Self-Harm and Suicide: Content that encourages or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or dangerous behaviors is not permitted. If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek professional help. We want Glimpses to be a supportive environment, so while discussions about mental health are welcome, posts should not normalize or encourage self-harming behavior.

Sexual Content and Nudity

  • Pornography and Explicit Sexual Content: Do not post pornography or sexually explicit content. Sharing explicit adult material or any content primarily intended to cause sexual arousal is not permitted.
  • Nudity: Glimpses is intended for a general audience, and we do not allow full nudity or sexually suggestive imagery that is pornographic. Limited exceptions might be made for content shared in an artistic, educational, medical, or news context, but even in those cases, explicit nudity or sexual activity is disallowed. When in doubt, keep content PG-13.
  • Sexual Exploitation: Any content that depicts or promotes non-consensual sexual activities, sexual violence, or exploitation is strictly forbidden. Absolutely no content that sexualizes minors is allowed – this will be removed immediately and reported to the authorities as required. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material.

Child Safety

  • Protection of Minors: We are committed to protecting children. Do not post content that exploits or endangers minors in any way. This includes child sexual abuse material, grooming behaviors, or any form of content sexualizing children (which will be removed and reported to law enforcement). Also, do not bully, harass, or encourage abuse of minors on Glimpses. If your account is intended for a minor or run by a parent/guardian, please exercise extra caution and follow all applicable laws regarding minors online.

Privacy and Personal Data

  • Personal Information: Respect everyone’s privacy. Do not share personal or sensitive information about others without their consent. This includes personal contact details, private communication, addresses, financial information, or intimate media. Doxxing – posting someone’s private info with malicious intent – is not allowed. Each user has the right to control their own personal information.
  • Private Content: Similarly, do not share content that is meant to be private (such as private messages, personal photos/videos, or confidential information) without permission. We encourage you to report if someone is abusing your privacy or impersonating you.

Spam and Deceptive Practices

  • No Spam: You should not flood the platform with repetitive, irrelevant, or unsolicited content. This includes excessive self-promotion, posting the same content multiple times, or mass messaging others. All posts and interactions should be genuine and relevant to the context.
  • No Scams or Fraud: Fraudulent schemes, phishing attempts, or any content intended to deceive or defraud users are prohibited. Do not mislead others to gain personal or financial advantage. Accounts engaging in scams or deceptive practices will be removed.
  • Platform Integrity: Do not use bots, scripts, or any automated means to artificially amplify content, inflate follower counts, or manipulate Glimpses. Creating fake engagements or interfering with the normal functioning of the platform violates these guidelines and will result in immediate and permanent account suspension.

Misinformation and False Content

  • False or Misleading Information: Do not spread misinformation, hoaxes, or false news that could cause harm. We specifically prohibit sharing of false or unverified information that may mislead the community. This includes spreading fake news, conspiracy theories with harmful intent, or misleading content about health, safety, or security matters. Always verify facts before posting, and consider the potential impact of the information you share.
  • Authenticity of Content: Altered or out-of-context images/videos (misleading media) intended to deceive others are not allowed. If you share parody or satire, clearly distinguish it as such. While we value free expression, content that is fundamentally false and likely to cause harm may be removed or labeled to prevent real-world damage.

Impersonation and Authenticity of Identity

  • Impersonation: You must not impersonate others or misrepresent yourself on Glimpses. Creating accounts that pose as another person, brand, or organization in a confusing or deceptive manner is prohibited. Parody or fan accounts should be clearly labeled as such to avoid confusion. Users should always know who they are interacting with.
  • Authentic Identity: Use of Glimpses should be under your real identity or a consistent alias that isn't intended to deceive. Do not create fake profiles, and do not use someone else’s photos or personal data as your own. Misleading identities erode trust in the community. We may ask for verification if an account is suspected of impersonation.

Intellectual Property and Plagiarism

  • Respect Intellectual Property: Only share content that you have the right to post. Do not upload or share content (images, text, videos, music, etc.) that infringes on someone else’s copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. If you share content from others (such as a quote, image, or article), credit the original source whenever possible.
  • Original Content and Plagiarism: Plagiarism or stealing someone else’s work and presenting it as your own is not allowed. Celebrate creativity by posting your own content or properly credited content. If content you posted is reported for IP infringement and found to violate someone’s rights, we may remove it in accordance with our policies and applicable laws.

Positive and Constructive Community Engagement

  • Be Constructive and Kind: We encourage a culture of positivity. It’s okay to disagree or critique ideas, but keep feedback constructive and civil. Personal attacks or trolling behaviors (provoking others with inflammatory or off-topic messages) are not welcome. Aim to contribute to discussions in a helpful, meaningful way rather than tearing others down.
  • Encourage and Support Others: Help us make Glimpses a welcoming space. Support your fellow community members, celebrate their contributions, and be courteous in dialogue. A positive community is one where members uplift each other and work together to maintain a friendly atmosphere.
  • Inclusivity: Remember that Glimpses users come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Be mindful and respectful of different perspectives. Any sarcastic or humorous content should not cross into cruelty. We want everyone to feel they belong on Glimpses.

Enforcement and Reporting

  • Reporting Violations: If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it. Use the in-app reporting features (if available) or contact our support team at support@glimpses.app. Community feedback helps us address issues quickly. We review reports confidentially and take appropriate action.
  • Content Removal and Account Actions: Creatoors Tech Private Limited may remove any content that violates these Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that engage in severe or repeated violations. In most cases, we will notify you if your content has been removed or if action is taken on your account, and we’ll provide a general reason for the action.
  • Compliance with Law: Creatoors Tech Private Limited abides by the laws of India and other applicable jurisdictions. If we receive a valid legal order or notice regarding unlawful content, we will remove or disable access to that content and inform the users involved, as appropriate. Content that is illegal (for example, hate speech that incites violence, content threatening the unity or security of the state, child abuse material, etc.) or otherwise violates applicable law will be removed. In cases of serious violations, we may also report the content to law enforcement authorities.
  • Appeals and Grievances: We strive to be fair, but if you believe we made a mistake, you have the right to appeal. If your content was removed or your account was affected and you think it didn’t violate these guidelines, you can reach out to our support team to request a review.
  • Accountability: Remember that these rules apply to everyone. As a member of the Glimpses community, you also play a role in upholding our standards. By reporting problems and following the guidelines in your own posts, you help make Glimpses better for all.

Updates to Guidelines

Creatoors Tech Private Limited may update or revise these Community Guidelines as our community grows or policies change. When we make significant changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review the guidelines periodically. Continued use of Glimpses after updates means you accept the revised guidelines.
